AC Shadows Unveils Bizarre Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected partnership that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The narrative presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden sect.
The mission concentrates on "peculiar trials and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Additional Features
Players who accomplish the mission will acquire an exclusive katana alongside multiple items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-based attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe
- Unique weapons
- Survey Corps mount
Third Free Story Content
This release also introduces the game's newest no-cost story content, titled "The Mystery." This humorous adventure teams Naoe and Yasuke as they trade distinctive techniques: Naoe debuts a theatrical version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-lethal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "A Puzzlement" also includes a original environmental puzzle that may ultimately shed light on some lingering questions from the main storyline.
